Steakloft in Nortdborough

This place is excellent! Affordable rates, big dishes and the staff are constantly very nice.

Went for early dinner. Place empty, thought at least the service should be great. Waited several minutes for hostess (had to ask at bar). Waited again for waitress-she turned out to be the quiet, unsmiling, unhelpful sort. Got appetizers, waited a good 20 minutes. Placed our main dish orders while waiting. Irish nachos came and were quite good. About the time we were finishing, waitress informs us that they don’t have any steak for my wife’s order. Seems it took them about twenty minutes to figure this out. At least we were informed up front that there was no prime rib, which is what I would have ordered. Here I should remind you that this place is “THE STEAKLOFT”. Wife got a burger rare, came somewhere between medium and well. I got the fried haddock- over cooked and Very small portion- much prefer The Hillside Grill or even Dean Park Pizza for properly fried and large portions of haddock. Very disappointed- will not return.

Been going here for years, but the ownership has recently changed. I have to say, the new owner Ray is killing it. Tonight I had, the fish and chips with onion rings. Not only did the fish come out perfectly cooked and flavorful. I also usually hate tartar sauce but I couldn't stop dipping my fish and fries in this one. I also had the specialty drink, a lychee martini and it was to die for.Love this place and can't wait to see all the new and fun changes that the new owner brings to the place.

Has a bit of an older, crozier atmosphere than most places I've been to. The food is pretty good and the service is even better.

First time here, food was great. Steak au poivre, prime rib n stuffed shrimp was delicious. How lucky, three of a kind was also playing.

I'm from out of town but the Steakloft is a must-have when I come to town. Tremendous service with just incredibly delicious food. 10/10 would recommend for families, couples, or friends. The live music is awesome!

We had a Great dinner at the Steakloft the other night. The New owner is really doing a nice job!

Small quaint place, it's in need of some updates. But, it has the homey feeling too. Now for the food, I ordered the prime rib and I have to admit, it beats New England Steakhouse in Mendon. It's juicy very tender you almost don't need a knife, seasoning done just right not to take away from the flavor of the beef. I actually feel it enhanced it very well. As for the rice pilaf it was overcooked even crunchy. It's very well known to the locals and hard to spot if you are not paying attention. Same Plaza as Yama Zakura, just around the corner towards back of the building. Give it a try. I'll be back!

My daughter and I had a great experience. Went in starving and left full and satisfied . Our server was outstanding and we enjoyed the service he provided.

Service was awesome. Medium rare sirloin was cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes were excellent. Cant recommend the homemade clam chowder and bread enough!

Good good at a fair price. We and our bar mates couldn't find fault with any of the selections ranging from steak salad to french fries to onion rings to nachos to Sicilian chicken and sausage over ravioli. And they have Keno, so we can conveniently make our contributions to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission. We'll return.

Absolutely Luv this Place!It's My Personal Favorite.Family Run. Luv Eating occasionally under a Covered Bridge by the Fireplace. Very Quaint. Food is Awesome. Great Entertainment.

Always fantastic. The perfect combination of good food and warm cozy atmosphere. We went on a Friday and had a talented musician who sang, played the acoustic guitar and harmonica. Definitely will be returning

Went here on Valentine's Eve. The place was not that crowded. Waitress was simply fair. My wife had the lamb that was bland as hell. Her mashed potatoes were cold. My prime rib was luke warm at best. The waitress never came back long enough so I could tell her that she neglected to bring my vegetables, get another drink or tell her the issues with our meals. Never did get tne veggies. Maybe an off night for them but not sure I'll be going back anytime soon.

Good food, reasonable prices, friendly weightstaff. Live music, usually one or maybe 2 people singing softer rock, in the lounge, which you also hear in the dining room. The Australian Delight is great! Sirloin steak stuffed with a seafood mix in a creamy sauce! Yum!

This place was an interesting mix between fancy steak house and a barn. The interior was all wood and looked as though it had previously been a barn. It also had interesting license plates lining the beams. The food was delicious! I had their quiche and it was amazing!

This restaurant is no doubt one of the most pleasant place in the neighborhood. Anytime I go there I am absolutely glad. They keep their high standard service and the highest level of meals they give. You definitely will enjoy this this place. Warmly recommended.

Good place for a drink and appetizers. We went on a Friday night and they had "music". Not the best but not the worst either.

I happen to read a review and one order a steak rare. Well your top chef will tell you it is served at room temperature and of course rare is cool to temp. That's with any PIECE of beef. ☆☆☆☆☆ recommend Rab.

Been my favorite for years! Prime rib was the best! A visit this past week was very disappointing! A choice of a potato or peas and extra for a salad! Not to mention the prices have increased! ! Maybe to pay for the new sign! Tables were sticky from wear! My husband ordered fish and chips and the haddock was inedible ! Won’t be back! 2 drinks and a $86 bill!

First timer. Warm and cozy atmosphere. I had the fillet of sole. My husband had the filet mignon. Both were excellent. Highly recommend.

If you call yourself steak loft, you should know how to cook a steak. Three out of four steaks were cooked wrong. Small portions for high prices. Someone should tell the interior decorator that it is 2018 not 1980. The hanging pendulum lights are too low. Our guest hit their heads on them every time they got up from the table. The individual chairs need updates. Not worth the money spent.

Best potato skins on the planet!

It is not the place I remember from years past. First it was a warm night and super hot inside no AC. Our food took forever to arrive and when it did most of the order was wrong. We were served raw chicken, steaks were medium instead of well, like requested, we asked for mashed potatoes, came with vegetables, no potatoes. Plus we were told there were no more mashed potatoes. There was only one server on the floor. It was difficult to get her attention. We used to really enjoy this place. We will not be reuturning.

This restaurant is my preferable place. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. everytime I feel like having a good supper, this is the place that comes instantly to my head. fresh and all kinds of food and a large list of dishes.courteous staff members, and nice ambience. Also important, the cost is honest. I suggest this restaurant with great pleasure.

Go with my family every week,has been delicious! Last night the steak came over cooked asked for med. Was completely grey inside. Took 20 mins for waitress to come over to find out, ofcourse now my family was done eating. Waited a half hr for another steak, why my family had to watch me eat. And by this point I had no drink she never came back for me to get another so let me eat with out a drink oh and cold carrots. She took 10 off bill, big deal, never returning

Food is ok. The beer menu is ancient. Service wasn’t very good at all. Actually the hostess delivered our second round of drinks because “she couldn’t find our waitress!”. Food came and was not what was ordered; wrong pasta, wrong side dish, etc. Used to like this place, but it was like a trip back in time. Old, dark and drafty windows. I don’t plan on returning,

Was excited to see that this place was under new management with a new chef, so we visited this evening. At 8.40pm on a Thursday the place was empty except for 3 people at the bar. We settled at the bar and waited for the Bartender to serve us. He was busy shooting the breeze with his 3 friends. We waited , we moved seats and we waited some more. In the end we got up and left. You’d think a new owner would be keen to increase his client base but I guess not. We went 100 yards down the street to Romaines where the bar was busy but we were welcomed and served immediately.
